North Carolina Sales & Use Tax Changes Oct 1, 2016

The Sales and Use Tax Division has issued Important Notice: Additional 0.25% Local Sales and Use Tax.  Effective October 1, 2016, Cherokee and Jackson Counties adopted a resolution to levy an additional 0.25% local sales and use tax.  As a result, the total general State rate and applicable local rate of sales and use tax will increase from 6.75% to 7.00%.
